Diesel price skyrockets

With crude oil prices hovering around new highs, the national average price for diesel went up dramatically this reporting period. Hit with a double-digit increase, the average was up a whopping 18.2 cents per gallon, to $4.331.
Prices went up in all five of the main eia districts. The most dramatic change was reported by the Midwest district, with prices there rising 19.7 cents per gallon to $4.298.

UPS Releases 1st Quarter Results - ATLANTA, GA. -- UPS (NYSE:UPS) today reported increased revenue in all segments with double-digit gains in both international package and supply chain and freight operations. A sharp decline in U.S. economic activity, however, led to a 9.4% drop in diluted earnings per share to $0.87 compared to a prior-year adjusted $0.96. Read On.....
